Conditions

Applicability. To apply for a visa at the Consulate General of Argentina in Los Angeles, you must be located within the Consulate’s jurisdiction: Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Hawaii, and the Pacific Islands.

Timeframes. Visa applications must be completed at least 40 days before the intended travel date and no more than 89 days before that date. Applications are formally considered complete once the mandatory interview has taken place. Applications submitted outside this timeframe may not be considered.

Compliance with requirements. It is the visa applicant’s responsibility to provide all the information requested. If the application is incomplete, no interview appointment will be granted.

The applicant should not make irrevocable travel plans until the visa has been granted.

Privacy. The visa application process is personal and private. Applications on behalf of third parties are not accepted and, in particular, the Consulate will not deal with agents, intermediaries, or travel companies. No information is provided to anyone regarding another person’s application. Group applications do not exist.

No walk-ins. Appearing without a prior appointment is strictly prohibited. Please do not place consular staff in a difficult position.

Reimbursements. Payment of the visa processing fee does not guarantee that the visa will be granted. The Consulate evaluates each application individually and, if the visa is denied, the fee paid by the applicant is not refundable.

No guarantee of entry. The granting of a visa does not guarantee entry into Argentina. The final decision rests with the immigration authority at the border checkpoint.

Entry with medication. If you plan to enter Argentina with medication, please take into account the applicable recommendations.

Medical insurance. The traveler must have standard insurance covering potential medical expenses in Argentina. Immigration authorities at the border checkpoint may request to see proof of this insurance.
